HYPACK MAX and HYSWEEP para las Oficinas Hidrográficas de Venezuela y Perú

Septiembre 2001.- Coastal Oceanographics proveerá de licencias y capacitación de su popular software HYPACK MAX y el módulo para sonar multihaz HYSWEEP a ambas Oficinas Hidrográficas. En Venezuela, la Oficina de Hidrografía y Navegación de la Marina también ha ordenado la integración de su sistema SEA BEAM 1050D en el barco R/V Punta Brava con el software (fuente RESON).

Venezuelan Navy Orders SEA BEAM Multibeam Sonar

15 de mayo, 2001. East Walpole, Massachusetts -- The Venezuela Navy's Hydrographic and Navigation Office has recently awarded L-3 Communications SeaBeam Instruments Inc. with a contract for the delivery, installation, and training of the SEA BEAM 1050D, a shallow and medium water dual-frequency multibeam sonar system. The system plus necessary peripherals will be installed on the navy's vessel R/V Punta Brava to perform offshore oil survey work and EEZ mapping surveys in Venezuelan territories. According to L-3 Communications' Ralf Timm, the 1050D performs high-resolution shallow water and medium water surveys to a water depth of 3,000 meters. Data are compliant with IHO S-44 Special Order accuracy standards.

Peruvian Navy Buys Atlas Multibeam

17 Octubre 2000 Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA - Al Rougeau of Odom Hydrographic Systems Inc. announced the recent sale of an Atlas Fansweep 20 100-kHz multibeam sonar system to the Peruvian Navy. Installation on one of the navy's survey vessels will take place later this year in Callao. The Fansweep 20 offers several unique features, Rougeau noted, including equal beam footprint across track and real-time beam control. These features allow the system to take full advantage of the 12-times water depth coverage.
